**COVID-19 Protocol** As our community faces the COVID-19 coronavirus, Tower
Radiology is closely monitoring new developments. As of Monday March 16th we are screening
patients and employees while updating our protocols as new information becomes
available from the CDC.
While our outpatient centers are prepared we recognize that
many people remain uncertain about how to protect themselves and their
families. We encourage you to visit the CDC website to learn more and stay up

We also recommend using our partner Tampa General Hospital’s
online COVID-19 resource that they have created for the Tampa community and

**As of Monday, October 2nd, there will be a $5 fee for each CD requested by a patient.** NOTE TO PATIENTS: If you are looking to change imaging providers or if you would like Tower to attain your records from another imaging provider, please complete a medical record request form at the time of service.
Tower Radiology Opens Second Location in Sun City Tower Radiology, one
of the largest physician owned and operated outpatient radiology practices in
Tampa Bay, is growing once again with the opening of a second Sun City Center
location at 16521 S US Hwy 301, Sun City
Center, 33573. This new center will offer an exclusive list of frontline services
for patients and physicians in the area, including Screening Mammography, Walk-In
X-Ray, DEXA/Bone Density, and Ultrasound. By partnering with Tampa General
Medical Group and TGH Urgent Care, Tower will be one of three medical services
available in one location, focused on enhancing the quality and coordination of
outpatient care to achieve the optimal patient experience.
Introducing Tower Radiology's New Weight-Bearing Open MRI Tampa, Florida: Tower Radiology Centers, the largest outpatient radiology practice in Tampa Bay, is proud to announce the addition of a New Dedicated Weight-Bearing Open MRI with its revolutionary design. The open and tilting design is an innovative way of performing MRI in which the position of the patient becomes an integral part of the outcome of the examination all while providing great patient comfort. MRI imaging in a natural, standing position allows the force of gravity to generate bio-mechanical changes in anatomy to obtain significant details such as a disc herniation or “pinched” nerve that can become stressed under compression and might otherwise not be visible with a traditional MRI performed only in a lying down position. This New Dedicated Weight-Bearing Open MRI will be available at Tower Radiology Center - Bruce B. Downs located at 3069 Grand Pavilion Drive in Tampa.
Introducing Tower Radiology’s New Dedicated Extremity Open MRI Tower Radiology Centers is proud to announce the addition of a New Dedicated Extremity Open MRI, the perfect fit for Musculoskeletal Imaging. This MRI unit is a leading performer in imaging of the knees, ankles, feet, elbows, wrists and hands to diagnose illnesses or injuries in the muscles, bones and joints of an extremity. It offers a complete range of high quality imaging capabilities while providing an optimal patient experience thanks to its unique ergonomics and open design. During the exam, the patient is able to comfortably lie back and relax on an open couch while placing only their arm or leg into the MRI opening, allowing claustrophobic patients to feel at ease. This New Dedicated Extremity Open MRI will be available at Tower Radiology Center - Habana located at 4719 North Habana Avenue in Tampa.
3D Mammography Now Available "Breast Tomosynthesis (3D Mammography) has shown to be an advance over digital mammography, with higher cancer detection rates and fewer patient recalls for additional testing." - American College of Radiology 2015 3D Mammography is a revolutionary new screening and detection that can be done in conjunction with a traditional 2D digital mammogram. Patients who benefit most from 3D Mammography are patients who have Heterogeneously or extremely dense breasts.
Designated Lung Screening Centers by the American College of Radiology Tower Radiology Centers - Habana and Tower Radiology Centers - South Tampa are the first facilities in Tampa designated as Lung Cancer Screening Centers by the American College of Radiology! There are currently a total of 21 designated facilities in Florida with the closest ones in Orlando and Sarasota.
High Deductible? Ask About Our Payment Plans for MRI CT & PET!
Tower offers patients payment plans on MRI CT & PET exams. Payment plans require 10% down on the full total of the patient bill and 10% a month payments. Promotion effective February 2014 and is subject to change at any time. Please call for more details (813) 253-2721.
